I finally finished this little table topper for my friend. I worked on the binding last night while I watched a movie on Netflix.
It is 18" x 27" and the square pieces were 3.5" and 2". Those are the smallest pieces I have worked with in homespun fabrics and I have to say it was a challenge.
We had enough of a frost to wilt my Elephant Ear plant and some of the Cannas. I dug up the Canna bulbs yesterday. I bet there were 30 or more from 5 plants. It was getting dark by the time I was done so I need to clean a little more dirt off the bulbs today before I store them for next year.
i know you are glad to have it finished. I don't think I want to use homespun pieces that are that small.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of homespun fabrics, I much prefer your bright colored quilts.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great little quilt! It is so cozy looking.
ReplyDeleteCute little quilt!
ReplyDeleteOh brr....it's sounding cold there.
ReplyDeleteLove the nice finish.
What fun you must have had working outside your usual colorful fabrics!!
ReplyDeleteI did a bit of weeding last evening and my canna were pitiful! I will go dig up tonight the few I have. Mine never got more than 18" tall, but then again I didn't take very good care of them!
