My palest pink cactus is blooming now. It has about 20 buds.
Yesterday was errand day and then I spent hours sorting my cut squares and rectangles into the stackable trays. I need to go buy a few more to store the rest of the squares.
It turned cold last night so I picked the last of the green tomatoes and wrapped them in newspaper. I brought in one begonia pot. I decided I can't save all of them over the winter.

We are supposed to get near freezing tonight the first this fall for our area - maybe the ground will get cold enough in another couple weeks so I can plant tulip bulbs. In the meantime I have others I still need to get planted better hop to it I guess before time gets alway from me.
Your cactus are beautiful. So far I haven't one bud on mine. Wondering if they will bloom at Christmas?
I have some unusual geraniums that I would like to bring in but they need a cold place and so I would have to use plant lights that I don't have- so I have made no decision yet. Great bloom! Happy sorting.
The pale one is as delicate and pretty as the darker one.
Your cactus is lovely. It's still in the high 80's here in Phoenix. Wish we could get some cool weather here. Kay H.
I have enjoyed seeing your Christmas cactus plants....beautiful colors! I have never tried to grow them, but love to see them....
We are having much cooler weather here in Virginia...we haven't had frost yet, but I am sure it's coming...and, being that we are nearly to the middle of November, it needs to be colder....

Beautiful shade of pink...I've just been to the local cactus society show which was very interesting
Most of my cacti are budded now and several have started to bloom. My light pink one blooms later than the others. I have two that sit on a room divider and one side is budded, while the other is not. I assume it is due to the amount of light they get. The other side will bloom eventually and some of my plants will have a second bloom period toward spring.
Beautiful flower. I wish I could keep them alive. My Christmas cactus have always died after a season, regardless of strictly following the advise of those who do so well with them. I don't know if I mentioned this before, but I had a friend who used to pull her tomatoes up by the roots and hang them in her garage to ripen. That worked very well for her and they are vine ripened, so better tasting.
