I have been working on a small project for a friend for about a month, just sewing a little every evening. I need to find the backing now and get it basted for quilting.
Yesterday afternoon I packaged lots of colorwash kits ready to mail this morning. I did a little outside clean up too, dumping the contents of the pots with Coleus. They looked pretty bad after the frost. My church sewing circle got cancelled for today so I hope to dig into a quilting project.
That is a nice little quilt design. I like the elongated stars that it makes.
ReplyDeleteGreat little quilt! Have not had a killing frost here yet so the zinnias, nasturtiums and coleus are still looking nice.
ReplyDeleteStretched stars in plaid -- what a comfortable combination! An article in the Trib yesterday called this a "green" fall because the frost has come so late. Some people have had lots of leaves to rake, but I haven't. (My turn is coming, I know.)
ReplyDeletenice work.. thanks for posting

love that pattern for the small quilt top that you made - I made one something like that once but the name of it escapes me. A frost huh, none here so far and now this week to be near 80 again and mid-50's at night - cold fall is holding off so far and continues to be pleasant - we have not come near a frost yet
ReplyDeleteI like your neutral star quilt, very quiet looking. We've not had a frost here yet, but I do expect one soon. Trees are turning colors slowly. I know you bring your geraniums inside, bare root. Will you share with everyone how you do that ?
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see that you are able to work on a variety of genre concerning quilting! I personally love this masculine looking piece!
ReplyDeleteThe design is really pretty♥
ReplyDeleteOne day I want to make one of those in white with blue star points. The plaids are nice!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely little project. Can you tell me what the stars are called? I imagine the star corners are flip and sew?
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss this? It looks great! Very autumnal.
ReplyDeleteHi Wanda, I really do like this pattern! Can you tell me the name of it?
