I have buds on several of my Christmas cactus plants. This one is red. About half of my plants were outside for a few weeks each. I'm hoping they will all bloom even if they didn't get to experience the hot humid summer outside.
The students were done tweaking their colorwash projects in three hours. One of them had a 5.5 hour drive home to MO so she was glad to be on the road early and home in daylight.
I will list my colorwash kits for sale tomorrow. I am just too tired after 2 days of class to do it right now.
I discovered buds on one of my plants last night. Enjoy getting some rest today.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing your plants bloom!
ReplyDeleteI'm still watching for some buds to appear here. It shouldn't be long now.
ReplyDeleteJust brought my christmas cactus in last Wed. No buds yet. I do want a kit!
ReplyDeleteYou sound like you need a good rest. Glad class went well.
ReplyDeleteWow! You are the master gardener for Christmas cactus, for sure! I can't believe you've already got buds!
ReplyDeleteSome of my Christmas/Thanksgiving cacti have buds as well and I only put one of them outside this summer. I have 10 of them and many are now too big and heavy to move. Unfortunately they are also dusty!
ReplyDeleteRest well -- your Christmas cactus always amaze me.
ReplyDeleteI just noticed buds on one of mine too and got excited. I thought of you and was curious if you were starting to see buds yet.

I haven't brought my plants in yet but maybe I will bring the cactus in and see if they will bud. And I have a cutting I have been encouraging that I am getting ready to plant in a real pot. I am going to have to devote a second shelf to Christmas cactus'. Yay!
