Sunday night while I watched TV I cut some short ends of 2.5" strips into squares to add to my personal supply of colorwash squares. Today I decided to play with them and see if I could do a colorwash without adding any others to the group. In the end I didn't use any of the light fabrics or the reds. I think this piece feels like fall. I did sew the last 2 seams of the Bento Box quilt top but I haven't pressed it yet. Also this colorwash is on the design wall that I need for photography and I wasn't ready to take it down yet.
That is a pretty piece!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Wanda....Just wanted to say hi and to say that I always look forward to seeing what you have created from leftover pieces of fabric. You must be able to put one of these colorwash quilts together in your sleep by now, but they are all beautiful and so calming to just, sit and look at the detail and beauty of each and every square. Still my favorite type of quilt pattern. Hope you get enough people for your class!
ReplyDeleteHow I wish I could join you for your class. Your students are in for a treat.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful colourwash quilt, turquoise/aqua is my favourite colour and I love this with those red/purples.
ReplyDeleteI love your colorwash quilts. Wish I lived close to you so I could come for the class! I'm amazed at how quickly you put your quilts together, and I've enjoyed seeing the Bento Box process! Wendy at piecefulthoughtsATgmailDOTcom
