Cutting.........

I spent several hours cutting a quilt kit for a friend yesterday.

The mailman is my friend.....he delivered these to me.  I spent Mother's Day money in May and pre-ordered them.  I haven't spent much time with them yet but they both look like good books.
The Sedum is turning pink and will soon be a deep rose color.  I rescued these plants from crowded locations last year and was so happy they did well with replanting last fall.

  1. Hope you get a chance to immerse in your books! Can't wait to hear how they are.

  2. I need to divide my Sedum plants....they have grown so much...I haven't tried dividing them before, but hopefully it won't be too bad. Mine have turned to just about the same color as yours....love that shade of pink!
I think I may have to get a copy of that "Quilts in Italy" book for myself... I had not heard about that one, so thanks for sharing!
Love those fabric strips all set out side by side...beautiful fabrics!!

  3. The deer eat sedum so the one little plant I had is no more.

  4. My sedum are also pink here in Ottawa, Canada. I will look closer to see if I can separate them too. Wanda, you are such a wonderful quilter. I love reading your posts.

  6. Bold Blooms should be delivered to me me Friday, looking forward to seeing this one. I have marked two or three quilts from Quilts in Italy that I should like to make at some point.

  7. You sure are a good friend to cut a kit for somebody else! I've been cutting fabric for a rather involved and complicated quilt I'll be working on at my retreat this coming weekend, and it's taking me forever. And is NO FUN. If getting a kit had been an option, I sure would've been tempted - but this is a unique quilt I had designed from a photo I took, a pixilated version blown up, so there isn't and never will be a kit.

  8. It has been a consistently hot summer here and I think my sedum liked it, they look very good this year. Looks like you are cutting an "H" kit--my son really loves his "H" quilt.
