Stash............

The hot weather is getting to me and I was so tired yesterday.  I just played with stash.  This group is my Philip Jacobs fabrics.  I had them all in number order at one time but they are all mixed up again.  I need to get them out on shelves that I can get to easily so I'll be moving some things in the next couple days.  I have some boxes of cut pieces that I can store in this cabinet.

  1. I think the heat is getting to everyone. We got a rain late in the afternoon and then the heat and humidity came back. It was awful. Rained about 10:30 pm and still rain at 5 am. Over 2 inches so far. Staying cool and playing with fabric is fun. Hope you can get them moved today. Chris

  2. I am so grateful for all your stash photos. I forward those blog entries to all the people who criticize MY stash, just to show them it reflects normalcy in OUR quilting universe. And, in the process of sharing your entries, I am also expanding your reading audience!!!!! Are we going to see a quilt emerging from that collection, or are you just organizing???

  3. Love all the colours falling out of your cupboard - they definitely need to be on display and not behind doors :) Must be wonderful to be spoilt by so much choice.
We have sunshine today but it's not hot, just right. Rio medals so far - USA 38 / UK 16

  4. Such lush and gorgeous fabrics! It will be fun organizing them. On vacation in the Adirondacks, in the wilderness, it was 90 yesterday and the heat did me in.

  5. The colors are so pretty. This weather is doing a number on our bodies. My friends and I are so tired! It's just so incredibly hot outside and it is affecting us uncomfortably. I look forward to the rain coming today.

  6. The heat has been wearing me down too. We have had a few "cooler" (aka not above 90F) days So I finally got some quilting done yesterday.

  10. Oooh. Aaah. Mentally petting your stash for a minute. I find I am wanting to bring in to full view all of my ethnic fabrics. They are scattered in a variety of places. As a matter of fact, I find that with most of my fabrics. One day I will have all of the open storage I need to see what I have.

  11. I've noticed lots of late summer "doldrums" with the heat/humidity etc. -- fondling beautiful fabrics always helps!

  12. What a sight to lift the spirits Wanda - not that mine needed lifting anyway! Have you seen the previews of the new KF collective Autumn range?

  14. The extreme heat seems more anxiety producing than extreme cold. Wish my stash was as neat as yours. I work in wool and the mountain of colorful bits grows and sheds fuzz everywhere.
