I sewed some of the rows of the triangle quilt, made a few more of the small Drunkard's Path blocks, cut some pieces for a project for a friend, and cut more preemie outfits for church sewing circle. Add to that my hour of pulling weeds and it was a full day yesterday. Even though the humidity was down and it wasn't quite as hot there was no doubt it is still summer.
I always enjoy visiting your blog, and I always pick up inspiration. It might be a quilt pattern (I never really considered the drunkard pattern until now), fabrics, yard work, new plants, vegetables..... I enjoy the variety of topics you cover...but of course, most of all enjoy the design process as you move the blocks around on your design wall!
What a busy day you had; puts me to shame. Those blocks look different, a bit like hand painted fabrics; not so keen on the muddy colours; I like the yellow and purple. USA are doing well in the Olympics - 1 gold, 4 silver - we've not got anything, yet :)
I believe that a day in the quilting room and in the garden are days worth living. I was in my room finishing up blocks for one quilt and starting two more. I made a good start on the one quilt and felt satisfied at the end of the day.
It's a bit cooler here and I've got work to do outside but I can't work up the energy tonight. I really love the drunkards path blocks and especially those fabrics!
The sun was warm. A little of this and some more of that get things done eventually. Like the Drunkards Path blocks. Very striking. Chris

ReplyDeleteI still find this pattern intimidating, but your blocks are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteDelicious units appearing!
ReplyDeleteIt is terribly hot here. The weeds are winning and I don't even care.
ReplyDeleteThose little drunkard's path blocks are so pretty!
One day I'm going to master curves! Yours are looking great!
