I was gone for several hours yesterday so when I got home I decided to sew some more pieces on the first colorburst piece. I now have all of the rows sewn in one direction. Since this is all batik I can fingernail press the seams as I go, one row one direction, the next row the other direction and I'm ready to sew the cross seams.
I added some pieces to colorburst 2. I still have no idea where I'm going with this one. It is just an experiment. If it works, fine, if it doesn't, well it was fun trying.

Wish I had your attitude on designing quilts. Sometimes, I am afraid to try something and ruin fabric. I have been stalled trying to make landscape quilts because I don't know if I can do it piecing and not applique. Would hate to hit a wall and not know how to get through it.
Love all the colors you are using in the new one.
I like the second colorburst - it isn't your "usual" colorwash style, but it is already striking.
It works. I love it.
These are beautiful. Your up-close photo makes me want to begin a collection of versatile batiks.
Yay, Wanda is still quilting and blogging! Love the recent stuff!
I love batiks. Working on my pink 16 patch. The tutorial was helpful for the pressing instructions. Then I looked at all your tutorials. They were all great. Thanks for all the info.
I'm sure it will go someplace fantastic!
I love the glow from this colour burst 2, batiks are always so rich looking.
Love these pictures, they make everything move! So cool!
