Pink started............

I sewed at various times of the day yesterday and got these combinations sewn for my pink 16 patch quilt.  There are several sets of some of these.  I will press them and slice the sections today and make some blocks.

I started out the day watering the flowers in pots and the tomato plants.  My hose doesn't reach around to the back of the house so I use a large watering can.  I tried to clean up the table where my studio die cutter is.......it is partially cleaned off....maybe I can finish that today.  I have more cutting I want to do.   It is hot and humid again, A/C running.

  1. Beautiful strip sets! I think you need to buy a hose extension so you are not lugging a watering can around. Hot and unusually dry here in Buffalo.

  2. it is to be in the mid-90's here all week and high humidity - I was cutting grass last night at almost 8 in the evening so I wouldn't be in the sun then had to shower as I was sweating so much even though I had a bottle of water with me and was drinking. Too hot!!

  4. The weather reports here are calling for 91 today. It is humid and walking to work this morning was not fun. Such pretty pinks! I didn't water last evening. I think I have given up on the Shasta daisy and coneflower seeds. They should be up by now, but I have nothing. I just bought the seeds this spring too. Oh well, I know someone that may have some coneflower plants they will give me so the problem will be solved!

  5. I love pink and these look so yummy! And if you've cleaned off a cutting table, you're doing a LOT better than most of us! :)

  6. It's beautiful and 78 here.....in my house. It's awful outside. I'm going to have to stay quiet for the duration of the pink quilt. It's really the only color that I don't like much, especially in large doses. :)

  9. Hi Wanda
Love the pinks. Did you mention the size of the blocks? I following this process faithfully, lol.

  10. What is your secret to getting the seams on your square blocks to match up.
I always have a problem getting my seams just perfect. Also, love your quilts and your color combinations.

    Thanks,
    Linda
