I showed these triangles back in February and am finally getting back to using them. The post in Feb. is much truer color. It is so much more vibrant than this photo. There will be some divider strips running across in the white area between the sections. Last night I got the center section sewn, 4 hours. I usually start at the top but I was afraid I would knock pieces down in the middle part while reaching up high to get the top pieces down. After the 3 sections are sewn I'll play with strips to get the right combination of colors and widths. Right now it is about 72" wide and the length will be determined as I plan the insertions.
I picked a bouquet of my beautiful white peonies. This is just 4 stems with all of those blooms. One stem had 6 blooms on it.
After showing the crooked cobblestones yesterday I wondered if maybe I can design something with both of these groups of pieces together. I'll have to think about it for awhile.

Beautiful fabrics, very colorful. Love your peonies, ours dried up about two weeks ago. I still have some Asiastic lilies blooming and the coneflowers are forming, I think they actually are taking over my garden. The day lily are blooming in one area but not the other.
I am really intrigued by your new crooked cobblestones idea.
I so admire your color sense and go for it attitude...do you just come up with these ideas with no patterns? Your fabric choices are mine but you make them sing! Is there a "pattern" for your cobblestones"?
Thanks for all your beautiful posts & love peonies too!
Your post today is just the inspiration I need! Thank you, thank you, thank you. I think your pieces would be lovely combined into one quilt! Thank you too for sharing Donaleens big stitch quilting. I have a rather liberated log cabin quilt, finished long ago and already in use, that has been waiting for some hand quilting and that is exactly what it needs. I shall get right to it! Thank you!
Wow to everything you showed. My peonies are finished now, but I sure enjoyed them. Yours look beautiful
Stunning paeonies! A mix of both sets of blocks should be very, very interesting, I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
Great looking triangles! And everything else! Lots of good looking stuff going on! You're really cranking it out this year! It seems like you're keeping up the same pace you started the year off on, no slowing down at all.
I love the triangle quilt and those Marcia Derse fabrics, I had never heard of her. As I looked at it I asked myself if there is something special Wanda does when she sews those bias edges together, I have not yet tried triangles but I know there can be a problem with stretching!
your quilts are a true inspiration.
(and your peonies are gorgeous!!)
