I cut the binding and sewed it onto the Laurel Burch baby quilt yesterday. It ended up 39" x 52".
Did you know C&T is publishing a Laurel Burch coloring book? You can pre-order here. In the 1970s there were adult coloring books and my daughter and I colored in them. This is a revival of sorts with many different coloring books available.The library in my town has a coloring book night where you can come in and relax and color.
The back is a Laurel Burch flannel with monkeys.
Another side project I'm working on is to cut 2.5" squares from most of my Kaffe collection. These piles are just from Box #1 which has numbers 1-30 of his fabric. He is up in the 150s now so I have a long way to go. I'm cutting 5.5" strips to cut with my die cutter. I'm planning a couple different quilts that will use the squares and I need a big variety.
The baby quilt is so fun and playful. All the cutting is a formidable task....so glad you have a cutter to get thru that amazing stack of fabric. Definitely looking forward to seeing what you are doing :)
That backing is great - I zoomed in to see what the animals were - looked like they were monkeying around :) We had snow this morning but the South stayed clear - I've seen snow later than this in the past but I hope not this Easter as I'm away for 3 days :p
Would love to see the the lucky baby that gets to play on this quilt for the first time. What a treat for whoever receives this beauty.
Enjoyed going backwards and catching up with all your earlier posts. . . AccuQuilt studio cutter is fascinating to me I had never seen one before.... And they selected a good quilt for March's calendar girl. You have a talented circle of friends.
Wanted to tell you, a friend from Somonauk sent the article about my husband's aunt and uncle's long marriage. That was in the Valley News paper a few weeks ago. On the back was your photo of your up coming program. I was so happy to see you and must say, you looked great !

Ooooh, I like the sound of that new project. I am drawn to the 2 1/2 inch squares, so I'll for sure be watching to see what you do with them!
