Not much progress.......

I cut pieces for the colorwash yesterday but it doesn't look different enough  to show again.

So, I'll show you the latest bloom in my indoor garden.  It is the first bloom since Christmas and there are 2 more buds.  My cacti aren't blooming as much this winter as they usually do.

  1. mine didn't bloom at all even though I followed all the advice from you and others that have them - still a healthy looking plant though - love your blooms.

  2. These cacti seem to have a mind of their own about blooming. This bloom looks almost white but I suspect it's a very pale pink. Very pretty. I have only two plants and one bloomed and one didn't. They are very nice looking full plants so I just leave them alone.

  3. My cactus has one bud on it. The fall and December was too warm. They like it cold to set buds, from what I've been told.

  4. That makes each individual bloom just that much more special -- beautiful photo!

  5. Gorgeous bloom. I bought a Christmas cactus in 2014. Haven't got a very green thumb, but I've managed to keep it alive. It was in bloom when I bought it and only a single blossom since. Then right before this past Thanksgiving, I had a couple dozen buds, about half of them opened into spectacular blooms. The other half dried up and fell off. Haven't figured out the secret code yet to make these things bloom!
