I finished sewing the triangle quilt top yesterday. I really like this one. It measures 60" x 84" so it doesn't need any borders for a large couch quilt. I also pieced the back and got it loaded on the longarm but I was too tired last night to start quilting it.
The streets were clear of ice yesterday so I did a few errands. The grassy areas are covered with a layer of ice pellets. It doesn't sound like it will be above freezing for a few days so I'm happy to stay inside and play with fabric.
This is very interesting look. I have a whole tub of triangles, but mine are different sizes. Maybe make blocks of different sizes and sew them into a top. Chris
ReplyDeleteI like this very much! You have chosen so beautilful fabrics. I wish you merry last days of this year and plenty of colors for year 2016!
ReplyDeleteSimple pattern with vibrant colors really makes a quilt.
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely quilt top! It is still warm enough here that we have had no ice and very little snow. It finally stopped raining, but it is still very overcast. I hate these gray winter days.
ReplyDeleteWe are still in the high 50s here....but yesterday I quilted another third or more of the quilt I am working on. If I can shake this headache, I will finish it today.
ReplyDeleteYou can curl up on your couch with your new couch quilt.
ReplyDeleteThat turned out so well. I'd say inside time is best with ice outside.
ReplyDeleteOur days have been gray and rainy, which is unusual here for December. Your colorful quilt is a great sight to counteract all the grayness.
ReplyDeleteSuper layout with the triangles, I do like the contrast without the paler half sides, sets it off so well. Stay warm and safe, and so many Good Wishes for the New Year.
ReplyDeleteI think we are finally getting the cold weather this weekend. Warm weather in the winter is a treat but it's been ridiculous this year!
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt, I like the fabrics a great deal. No ice or snow here...yet.
ReplyDeleteWanda, I really like this quilt. It may appear to be a simple pattern, but the variety and placement of colors make it pop!
ReplyDeleteHow do you sign or label your quilts? Do you write on the backing or print a label? Do you put just your name and date, or leave space to add the recipient's name?

Gosh, Wanda. I love your quilts sooooooo much!
ReplyDeleteYou can use colours beautifully. This layout is really nice. What a lovely quilt this is going to be.
ReplyDeleteSo nice! Did you find the notebook?
