Farm Girl and 16 patch................

I made two more of the Farm Girl Vintage blocks.  The sheep still needs eyes and legs embroidered on the block.  I couldn't resist using a couple of my sheep prints in the Welcome block.

Here are all of the blocks so far.  The chicken still needs an eye too.  I will probably leave all of the embroidery until the end and do it all together.

I made 10 more of the sixteen patch blocks, these 5 and their duplicates.

The next 5 strips sets are prepared and ready for slicing.

  1. Love the sheep! I could have a whole quilt of sheep! Love all the blocks so far and I am not a country girl.

  3. This city girl loves your farm girl blocks. I recently saw one with mixing bowls that was cute.

  4. I like what you've done with the Farm Girl quilt. Such pretty blocks and imaginative use of color and pattern. Each one is unique, just like you!

  6. I am loving the 16 patches and the farm girl blocks. I too am a farm girl, and just finished a chickens quilt for one sister--now to make one for my other sister. We gathered eggs together, and butchered broilers together, so it is up to them which to think of when they look at the quilts.

  7. I just have to say, I like your sheep block the best of all the farm girl ones so far. That is so cute and the welcome block with the sheep prints, adorable as well. Looks like some interesting 16-patches coming up...

  8. Love the sheep and the chicken. The fabric you used for the sheep is perfect. I have several friends who raise chickens, one who raises sheep and chickens and my very best friend since we were 13 who leases her pasture to someone who raises 'designer' sheep.
