My second finish for October was "Many Moons" which took 4 years from start to finish. I realized I haven't taken a portrait photo of it yet so this one will have to do for now.
The first finish was the batik 16 patch quilt, a large couch quilt.
Right at the end of the month I finished two small colorwash wallhangings. The top one is a little under 28" square, the other is smaller.
I also started a good size quilt project and knitted a couple dishcloths.
I started the year strong with many finishes and then had several months with no finishes. Hopefully I will have 2 good months of finishes for the end of the year. Speaking of that, where has this year gone? I can't believe there are only 2 months left.
with cooler weather.... there will be more indoor work!!! and Cactus blooms and finishes!!! Yes this year has gone fast!!!
ReplyDeletelove the quilts - the year as always is flying by
ReplyDeleteYou have been busy this month! Nice finishes!
ReplyDeleteYou do such lovely work and help/teach so many. I think you have more "finishes" than you realize! I have a question that I hope you can help me with regarding quilting flannel. On vacation I picked up my first piece of flannel by a quilting company. I bought it to back a baby quilt. However, I was wondering why I've only seen flannel on the back of quilts and not mixed with the quilting fabrics on the top. I'm using simple rectangles and I wondered if I could throw in a few rectangles of the flannel on the top or would it shrink/wear differently than the quilting cotton? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou do such stunning work, Wanda.
ReplyDeleteYou do wonderful work and should be proud of all the quilts you make and finish. Most of us never have a quilt a month. Thank you again for inspiring all of us. I was showing my husband last night the progression of my knitted dishcloths from your pattern and we both had to laugh at some of them. I am not such a great knitter as you so when I watch TV, I get off track and you wouldn't believe what I end up with. But they are dish cloths, right So I will use them eventually.
ReplyDeleteFour amazing finishes for you Wanda...
