I didn't do a lot of rearranging diamonds, just added some in. I'm still not sure where this is going. I will take all of the diamonds off the wall and start over today or tomorrow.
Now this is where I learn from you. I have an idea of how I would arrange these. I want to see if your vision matches mine when you have the arrangement posted.
That is a bigger diamond than I imagined. I thought you were going to make them all from strip pieced fabrics. But adding in some single fabric diamonds will make it not quite as busy.
You are sure giving me some things to think about with fabrics. I like how the ones you just added work. Some maybe a tad better than others, but they work. I can see that even the vertical pieced diamonds will feel more at home due to what you are adding, and they seemed to be at home to begin with. So enjoy your showing of how you work with fabrics. Makes me think. You are a great teacher and a wonderful blogger. BTW I'm not criticizing I'm learning from your pictures and I think all your quilts are amazing.
I had to catch up on all your posts today, I just haven't been blog reading at all. I like where you are going with those diamonds. Adding the intact pieces in with the strips adds a lot. It will be fun for me to see how this one finishes. I really like that other strip top you just finished, but you know that already. The colors just make me happy. I don't know if I could put much of a border on it. I wouldn't want to dilute it too much. LOL! I have a lot more confidence in you than in me though.
I'd like to see the progress on this quilt. You haven't abandoned it, have you? I'm also working on a diamond quilt and playing around with different layouts, changing my mind many times, trying to understand what the blocks want to do. l'm keen on seeing where you are taking this.
Interesting look. Anxious to see how you come out with it. Chris
