23 blocks.......

Yesterday morning I pulled out some previously pieced groups of Kaffe fabrics.  I want to slice and insert them in some of the blocks of the strippy quilt.  Then I decided to clean off the sewing table which meant hemming the 2 pair of pants that have been laying there for a week.
You wouldn't have noticed it yesterday but there were some blocks already in the quilt that had a pieced strip.

Now that regular fall shows are back on TV I will be sewing a lot in the evenings.  I made 23 blocks while watching Scorpion and Castle.

I also designed one more block for the other quilt.

My 2 neighbors mowed their yards yesterday so I decided that was a clue that I needed to do mine too.  It was a perfect day for outside work.

  1. With the strip that is pieced my Mom would call that made fabric. It is a neat element to your blocks. Suppose to be nice today also. Chris

  3. Good morning Wanda....such a productive day yesterday! The weather was perfect and great for being outside, which I wasn't, but my husband was, also mowing the lawn and painting one of our benches in the yard. I love that the new TV season is upon us and watched a new show last night called Blindspot, which looks promising. Don't you just love Castle? What a hunk!!!!! Enjoy your day.

  6. Pieced strips are a great way to use up all the bits and pieces, such beautiful coloured blocks. Your latest block I love - to me this is a great example of why I love the KF collective fabrics which may start life as quite large beautiful florals etc. but are also just as glorious cut up into small pieces.

  7. You probably won't need to be mowing much longer as fall sets in. There will be more time to play with all of those fun fabrics.

  8. Even now that I know, I can't find the pieced strips! But I love that you're doing it!

  9. I mowed my front yard on Saturday because the neighbors on both sides had done theirs. You'd think they'd take pity on me because I'm at least 40 years older, but they don't! It would have been much more fun to be playing with fabric. Love the bright colors in your quilts!
