You knew I would try a colorwash with the Kaffe squares didn't you? I have a LOT more cutting to do before this can really happen.
Yesterday I delivered the banner to the home of the family that is gifting it to their church. Hopefully it will be hung at the church by next Sunday and they will send me photos to share.
Today I am cutting squares with my Studio die cutter for another friend for her church sewing group. I am using the 5" square die, cutting 4 piles at a time.
This color wash will be interesting with all the texture that is in his fabrics. Chris
ReplyDeleteI like this with the Kaffe fabrics. It's more lively, and I think Sewing Junkie nailed it: The individual fabrics have more texture (and contrast). Fun!

This is coming along wonderfully! Hope you are recovered from the yellow jackets. That had to be scary and painful!
ReplyDeleteLove these fabrics !
ReplyDeleteI hope we get to see a photo of the banner hanging in context! Beautiful colors today.
ReplyDeleteIt's about time, Wanda! :) I'm guessing this one will become a series.
ReplyDeleteYour colorwashes are always wonderful. I can't wait to see pictures of the church quilt in its new home.
ReplyDeleteThese colors are pure eye candy - wow!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the delivery of that beautiful banner . . .
A veritable feast for the eyes!
ReplyDeleteNo.... I didn't see it coming, figured you'd already been there and done that.... with the Kaffe fabrics. Spending lots of time with the cutter!
