I worked on cleaning the garage and moving a few sale items part of the day. It got pretty warm by late afternoon so I gave up and sewed 2 more of the crazy pieced blocks, mixing a little purple in this time.
There is still no project in mind, just mindless sewing so my machine doesn't get lonely. The color is more accurate in the photo above.
Mindless sewing is a good place to be on some days!!!! Especially if you are planning to do some finishing ... in the month of August, rather than some starts!!!
Lonely machine...... Mine must feel abandoned. Today more on the dresses. Time is running out. The blocks are neat looking. Interesting how small pieces can make such a really neat block. Chris
Mindless sewing is also a good way to get back into sewing when you've lost your mojo. Amazing how pushing fabric under the needle can get the creative juices flowing again.
I love mindless sewing of scraps. I have been using the result for made fabric. Right now, I am cutting out the made fabric for flowering snowballs. Just love the sew pieces of fabric together.
Sorry, I was thinking about another blog when I wrote that last sentence. As soon as I posted, I knew I had made a mistake! I still love your blocks, of course, I just lost my train of thought between the first and second line. In fact I think I need a nap!
You may call it mindless, but your mind must be engaged on some level to make things so pretty! It IS fun though, to play, even if your mind is on lower wattage.
