This is probably getting boring for my readers but necessary for my diary. I have the top right corner complete now and am trying to make the last 2 decisions (4 fabrics). I actually chose the bottom corner fabric after I took this photo.
I spent a considerable amount of time outside yesterday. My Weigela bush is in full bloom. Lots of weeds around it too, another day's project. I mowed my grass in 2 sessions. I have a battery powered mower and the batteries are not holding a full charge any more. I can get about 3/4 of my front lawn done before they need recharging. I dug some more Hostas for friends while it charged.
NOT BORING> I use your pauses about color choice to imagine what I would choose and then compare it to your final choice. Great practice as I learn color theory via Exuberant color.
ReplyDeleteI think it is interesting to watch your progress and see how/why you make the choices that you do.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy I discovered your blog 4 or 5 months ago. And, no--your updates on a project are not boring!
ReplyDeleteDid you follow any pattern with this quilt top? Or do you determine where HST and other blocks will go as you move along?
my blog is a progress diary as well and I know some readers probably get bored with it - but others don't and realize we use our blogs as a way to keep track of things. It is interesting to me to see a quilt come together from start to finish.
ReplyDeleteLove your yard - it is so wet here that I can not mow grass right now at all. Even if I wanted to I couldn't right now - I would have to get some gas and Mike always does that so he can carry the large gas can that we use in the back of the pickup truck - I would rather not have the car smell up
Actually, I like your short daily blog bits; I hope to adopt this habit, too.
ReplyDeleteI agree with MontyBear. I'm absolutely fascinated watching your quilts grow.
ReplyDeleteThis quilt completely fascinates me. I love seeing it progress.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way sometimes about posting projects day after day that take a long time to complete, but this is how readers know all of this takes time. That is why if I can add a percentage complete it gives the readers something to easily see how much progress is made day to day. Keep plugging away!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt!! Keep the updates coming. What is the name of the quilt pattern??
ReplyDeleteWho could get tired of looking at that beautiful combination of colors . . . not me!
ReplyDeleteWrong! Not boring! Fascinating and beautiful! It will be such an amazing quilt and what a lot of work has gone into it! A masterpiece indeed!
ReplyDeleteOh so very boring!!!! That is why we look very curieus at your blog!
ReplyDeleteHow can you think it is boring????!!! Your quilt is BEAUTIFUL !!! I can't wait to see it complete....
I'm enjoying watching your process/progress. And I don't think you could do a boring blog post if you tried!
