A blogging friend, Donaleen, shared with me some of her Liberty Lawn fabrics, some already cut in 2" squares. I made this little top in December and offered it to her. She in turn offered to hand quilt it for me and send it back. I got it in the mail today and got the binding on and hand stitched last night. It is a little under 19" square. I'm going to be looking for a place to hang it today. Be sure to click on her name and check out her blog. She is like me, a camera in hand a lot of the time.
I got the binding sewn onto this quilt too but haven't started the hand sewing. This one is 62" x 77". I did stitch one more side of the binding on the batik quilt though.
You have become a ball of fire with your finishes. I know it feels good when something is done. Chris
ReplyDeleteLovely little Liberty quilt, nice to have a friend like that.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt, it's nice to share the work with a friend!
ReplyDeleteyou have been finishing a lot lately. So nice that you friend hand quilted the hanging for you. It looks really nice.
ReplyDeleteI am astounded that you already finished it. You didn't even have it 24 hours! Wow. You are a mover and shaker.
ReplyDeleteThe little quilt is just charming. What a sweet finish it is.
ReplyDeleteThe little quilt is very pretty! I love the way the red binding picks up the hints of red in the border fabric!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful little quilt - and such a good friend you have. And I love everything about the 2nd quilt - striped sashing, unusual border, and binding that echoes the stripes on the sashing and red in the quilt!
ReplyDeleteThe lawn colorwash is beautiful! And the other (isn't that your framed big squares?) is so pretty. I like that border fabric.
ReplyDeleteThis piece is indeed a treasure.
ReplyDeleteIt's so cold here, including inside, that is wish I had some quilts to put bindings on. It would be a perfect excuse to just sit under a quilt and sew!
