I have more blooms on the orange cactus. Also I have 2 red and a pink in bloom.
I sewed the hand dyed blocks from yesterday together but didn't get a fabric chosen for the top and bottom border. Instead I started pulling some flannel for pillowcases for Christmas gifts. I should be able to get them all made in one day.
My cactus has plenty buds, but no blooms right now. I should go to the next town and see if the florist that is going out of business has any to add to the collection. Chris
Good morning Wanda...always nice to see your beautiful, blooming cacti when opening up my e-mail. Our family also love the pillowcases, and will make some if the baking gets done in time. Hope to get 3 or 4 double batches of cookies done today. I usually make about 13 different ones, along with pound cakes, so it takes 4 or 5 days to get them done, at least. Have a great day...no sun again for a few days!
With Thanksgiving so late in November this year, everyone I talk to is in the same boat. Racing the clock to the Christmas ''finish line".
It has been a week since I checked in and it was such fun going back and looking at all your posts. Your blocks with the inlays (yesterday) is truly striking. Right up there with the diamond piece. And the 'Stack and Slash ' just awesome.
That's quite some close up of your cactus bloom. wonderful. I have a pink one in bloom right now, which was my late mother's. It always blooms at special times, Winter and Summer and I always feel the blooms are a gift from her. I've had it in the same pot since she died in 1991 and I am terrified of losing so have never repotted it. Jo x
What a lovely color Christmas cactus! This year I have my first ever Christmas cactus and it is the lightest pink (almost white). It is so nice to see your healthy vibrant plant AND quilts :)
