Cutting 2 inch squares....................

It was a tiring day yesterday so all I wanted to do last night was busy work.  I sewed blocks in the morning for our church sewing circle project, in the afternoon drove 23 miles to church and worked with the ladies for a couple hours and then drove home through a heavy rain storm.  I dropped off 6 bags of clothes at Goodwill on the way home.  Luckily they have a roof over the drop off area so they didn't get wet unloading my van.

  1. Poured here several times. I know we got over an inch of rain. More to come today. Busy work is what I need today. Chris

  2. Yuck on the rain.... it seems this summer that when the rain comes, it comes in buckets. Some days it nice to do busy work, (or as I call it brainless), no math no thinking no decisions!!!

  3. Heavy rain here, too ... Dark and ready outside!

Happy to be in my studio with my lights and colors!

  4. I heard about the rains there. Driving in that is exhausting.

  5. We had a lot of rain here yesterday, too. Now it is gloriously cool! My day was busy, too, but not as much fun as yours - dental visits.

  6. Yesterday was my 69th birthday. We had many plans for celebrating it and the sky opened up and it poured almost the entire day. We had tornado warnings and one touched down in our area but no damage. I have many busy things to do today too, love what you cut out with the GO 2" cutter, maybe I need to buy that one too. BTW, do you ever rest ?

  7. We had over 5" of rain last night but I slept through it (deaf in one ear). I had put my deck plants out in the open so they got well watered: I had to pour off lots of water before I could even lift them. I will be on the road with DH today so no sewing until tomorrow.

  8. You are SO busy and giving! I'd like to know what that is on the right - has something to do with your automatic cutter? I wish I could have some of your left-over rain - I live in California!

  9. Glad you had safe travels....we had some crazy rain and tornadoes in the area yesterday. I am seriously considering purchasing an Accuquilt Studio! Any suggestions before I go through with it?
