I searched all over for the left over gray dotty fabric, thinking there was enough of it left for backing. I finally found it, and no there isn't enough so then the search was on for something else that looked good. I have enough of this orange print, which has a log of gray in it and then there is enough dotty to do the binding. I'll look at it a few times today to be sure this is what I want to use.
To the left of my front porch is my hydrangea bush. The blooms are still white but they will be turning lime green soon.
To the right of the porch is a very weedy flower bed where the first balloon flower has bloomed. You can see coral bells in the background. I'm hoping to do some weeding in this area today while it is still cool.
I got my shelf unit tied to the railing yesterday so I could bring all of the cacti out for a couple months. Two are on the bottom shelf of the table too. I planted a lot of little plants in the beige pots until I could decide where they will be planted permanently.
On the porch steps are more assorted pots. In the background are the last of the evening primrose (yellow) blooming.

Your flowers look good. I planted coleus this year and want to Winter over some of them. Haven't done it for years. Used to do Impatients also, but didn't plant any this year. I like the idea of the dot for the binding. Chris
I'd say your garden is always cool! I do enjoy your flowers.
Hugs
Love Kaffe Fassett. That will be an awesome backing! And the plan to use the gray dots as binding is a great choice. Of course, if you decide to change your plans, I'm sure whatever you come up with will be just as colorful and perfect for your quilt.
I like that print for the backing a lot and it looks great with the dot for a binding.
That is one of my favorite Kaffe fabrics. It will look great on the back.
Your plant rack is a great idea. The cacti will love being outside for the summer months.
You do a great job of teasing as to what may lie ahead with your quilting projects. I will be watching.
Another day with a lovely array of blossoms for 'show and tell.'

Love your flowers! They are as bright and cheerful as your quilts, which comes as no surprise. The gray dots really set off all the colors in the other fabrics. Beautiful!
Lovely prints, and the coleus, super leaves going up the steps. Cheers,Jean
Your plants are gorgeous. Love the orange Kaffe for the back.
I love the idea of the dotted fabric for the binding.
Not only do you make gorgeous colourful quilts, you have a fabulous green thumb!
