Yesterday I completed ten more Northwind blocks. I need a minimum of 56 blocks or a maximum of 88 blocks depending on what size I want the quilt to be. The blocks are 9". I think I will wait until I have 40 blocks (4 days) done before I take them to the design wall.
Wanda, what are you doing differently this time that will make the quilt more spectacular than the first time you made it? composition of the blocks? position of the blocks?
The blocks are beautiful! There seems to be a high contract between deeply saturated blocks and light blocks. I am looking forward to see these on your design wall.
Very colorful. Will be very interested to see them on the design wall. Chris
ReplyDeleteWanda, your colour combinations are always stunning, and they work so well together. Cheers, Jean. P.s. This will surely pass all expectations!!!
ReplyDeleteI looked the book up and tried to find a cheap used one as it is 4 pages. Still looking. Love the value effects with such a simple block.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite so far is the peach. Keep having fun.
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty I don't think I could wait until I had 40 to start putting them on the design wall!
