I have started a new project with 2" finished triangles that were cut from the left over strips when cutting the last quilt. Hopefully I will have enough together to show it to you tomorrow.
I have been cleaning and sorting and ran across these photos of a quilt I made in 1999. It is all school related fabric and I think I gave it to my sister in law when she retired from teaching K-2.
I'm interested to see you using the leftovers. I have tiny triangles from each block which will make 2"squares when sewn together. 8 squares for each of 16 blocks so maybe a skinny border? What fun all this is and no waste!
It is fun to look back and see how your style has changed, isn't it? Or maybe you had not yet found your niche. Anyway, it will be interesting to see what's next!
That's so weird -- I just started a tiny 2" triangle project this week, too! While yours will no doubt be whipped up into a masterpiece, mine will most likely languish in a pile until I get tired of it. :)
That quilt is quite different than your exuberant style.
ReplyDeleteThere are always scraps aren't there? The quilt is fun!

ReplyDeleteI am sure she enjoyed the quilt
ReplyDeleteTriangles together, I can see something equally stunning coming soon. Lovely colours, as always. Cheers, Jean.
