I sewed the next 10 blocks which I had cut while my two friends were visiting and sewing yesterday.
I still had another hour of TV to watch so I made the last 4 blocks that I had cut.
So far I have pulled out, pressed, and cut 110 different batiks for this quilt. (55 blocks, 2 fabrics in each).

Isn't it strange how cameras can distort color. Some one said it was the flash, but not sure. Your wall looks great. It makes a definite statement to your use of color. Chris
I think it is already beyond beautiful.
It's like looking at gem stones!
Just the thought of 110 batiks is enough to make me swoon! They look great regardless of the camera.
I know what you mean about the pictures not showing the true beauty. For some reason it is difficult to get an accurate full face shot of a quilt unless you are able to take it outside.
What a wonderful simmer to this arrangement. Standing back and viewing helps see what you mean. I am also swooning over the thought of 110 different batiks! It is just wonderful and can't wait for the finish.
I always like this block, and it looks particularly good in your gorgeous batiks!
I don't think you can ever get the full effect with photos. A combination of a wide shot and some close ups seems the best compromise.
oh, yeah! it shimmers!
I have been checking in on your progress all week and can see this one is going to 'knock my socks off' (*._,*)

I love that little bit of luminosity center left. It makes the quilt shine.
Love it - the shimmer is great.
I also love this one... and have wanted to make this block/quilt for a long time. When the rush is over... :-)
I believe you -- having seen photos of your quilts and then having a few of them here in my house, there is NO photograph that does them justice.
Love watching you dig into your stash . . . .
Wow...love the light and dark in there.
I am sure the camera is not showing us the true beauty!
Love the way the lighter one isn shining out there!
I have had a similar problem with my camera and couldn't get a true colour, using my iPhone the colours were perfect so I now use that all the time.
Can't wait to see all your blocks there!
Lying camera or not-it is beautiful. I had the same issue with my Red Center which was Purple Maze. The multiple purples and greens were brilliant but the camera said ho hum:)
I believe you - and, I'm amazed, again, that you have that many batiks! You have a full supplement of fabrics in all categories, it seems! No wonder you have to sew so much! I'm just glad you always sew so well!
Your blog is the highlight of my day!
