February recap.......

I only had one complete finish for Feb.  I really thought I would get one quilted yesterday afternoon but after going to lunch with friends and then the repairmen coming I was wiped out.  This flannel quilt is really a favorite so I hope I'm not tempted to give it away.
The back is one long panel of the dark red and then 2 pieces each of the other two prints as a side panel.  All of the fabrics on the back are also in the quilt top.

I completed five quilt tops.  I was surprised when I got them into the group that 3 of them have brown in them.
Seven spring color dishcloths were completed in February.  Added to the 5 in January I am ahead of my goal of 60 this year.  If I keep up this pace I'll have 72 finished by Dec. 31.  They are the ultimate relaxation project.

Five mug rugs completed.  I had pieced the tops earlier and just had to quilt and bind them.

While I was building the collage of finished tops I decided to take this quilt top and turn it all four directions to see how it looks.  It is 60" x 70" so almost too big for a wallhanging so as a couch quilt it will be seen from all directions anyway.

Your finishes are impressive. I really like the flannel quilts. I have made several, but need to collect some more to make more. Chris

I think I love the last one most. I love the dark to light aspect with LOTS of color.

Love those dishcloths - I used to pick up some dishcloth yarn every time I visited family in Canada ... the variegated yarn isn't available here in UK. The pattern I had was a bit simpler than yours, and I'd start knitting one at the start of a committee meeting and give it away to someone (names into a hat) at the end of the meeting ... the meetings were that long... This kept people from making excuses to slip out early!

That flannel quilt looks so snuggly. Hopefully you will find the time to finish up your other quilts. My favorite is the one you showed four views of.

Just love, love the skinny strip quilt. I could look at it all day, and all day the next.

I would hate to use those dishcloths - they are too pretty to get wet and yucky! What kind of yarn do you use for them?

love all your finishes - that flannel quilt is wonderful - I really need to make a flannel quilt one day

Your quilt is sew pretty. Love the colors. I am wanting to learn to make the dishcloths. What pattern did you use? I am just learning to crochet so is the pattern for beginners? Thanks for sharing your projects!

You had a great month of sewing. I do love that flannel quilt, but that sofa quilt is going to look incredible any way you turn it.

I, too, love to knit dishcloths in between or along with quilt projects. I'm accumulating a stack and need a place to donate them. Can you give me an idea where to search for a place that might like them? I am always looking for any new Sugar & Cream colors to try out. The variegated colors are so pretty and fun to knit.

Another well presented post today Wanda... Just absolutely delightful for studying each photo ... If only I could get a mug rug finished I would be happy.

We have your below zero temps now... and more and even more snow coming. Feels like the Tundra. I was so smug all of January with our warm temps and no snow. But we certainly are making up for lost time. The last 3 storms have dumped over a foot each storm.

Wanda, have you ever posted the pattern you use for the dish cloths? I've tried to figure it out to make some myself, but I'm not getting it quite right. ... thanks again for posting details of what you're putting on your quilt backs.

Your monthly wrap-ups are my favorite posts. I love everything you made in February. Quilts, MUG RUGS, pretty knitted dishcloths. I like to knit them, too. Very relaxing in the afternoon or when waiting for something. Thank you for sharing pictures of you work.

Your February retrospective is most impressive! Please don't give a favorite quilt away! Do people ask you for quilts a lot?
What do you do with all your mug rugs? And what, I ask just out of curiosity, were you planning to do with 72 dish rags, assuming you make that many this year?
I'm at a quilt retreat with my old guild in Georgia - always most inspirational - walked in and immediately spotted a copy of Kathy Dough thy' newest book being studied by a group of quilters! I've finished two tops and backs which were picked up today by my friend the long-arm quilter. Next week I get to deliver another two quilts - presents to friends here in Atlanta.

The flannel quilt looks so comforting especially we are having snow here in Tulsa today!

Love the colors in the knitted cloths….I have several of those knitted dish cloths and love to use them. Have knitted one or two….but need help with knitting patterns each time!

Enjoy!
