I made up for my no-sew Sunday by making two blocks yesterday. Both backgrounds have some yellow in them so I hope they will help the other two with yellowish backgrounds look like they belong. I will get a photo of all of the blocks tomorrow.
It is supposed to get up close to 60 degrees today and be down to 9 degrees by Tues. night next week. Crazy weather.
I like both of the stars!!! I think I may just have to think about making one of these (small) quilts! Maybe foundation pieced. I'll be waiting to see the whole family of blocks.
Yes, I agree that adding a few more with yellowish background will work. It is warm here too! Maybe I will do some yardwork or wash the car (It is really dirty) after work!
These are beautiful and your workmanship is exquisite. We actually are not going to be above 60 today-it was almost 80 on Sunday. I love the colder weather.
We're having the same wild swings in temperature. I hope this wild weather isn't giving you a migraine. I adore both those stars. Each one is like a little jewel, just sparkling!
Another pair of dazzling stars... how I love to see each one.
60 degrees ! ! ! But wait the cold temps are headed your way. Our news gal said last night that we are in for bitter cold temps ... colder than we have ever had in TEN DECADES ! And for 10 days yet. I'll keep you posted.
I am a new fan of your excellent blog. I look forward to seeing what you're up to! These stars are gorgeous. Your composee of color is lovely! Can't wait to see how you put it all together. Happy quilting! Donna in Harwich MA
These will fit in well with the other ones. Terribly foggy this morning. Zero visibility. Chris

Super blocks Wanda, love the top one with my fav colours. Guess the cutting is the easiest part, and the lemon makes the points pop. Cheers from Jean
ReplyDeleteAnother two lovely blocks - the yellow geometric batik in the lover block background is a favourite of mine - have a couple of yards stashed
ReplyDeleteIt may have been warmer outside but it sure was gloomy. I am not looking forward to the colder weather nor any snow.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful as usual Wanda! These will fit in very well I think! We are expecting some winter weather here. Hopefully it won't get too icy!
ReplyDeleteThose are so pretty. I'm really looking forward to seeing your completed project. I just love to see you play with color and design!
