The only difference between this photo and the one yesterday is that the top is sewn together! It looks even better now. I will look for borders today. I'm thinking a dark narrow border and a red print for a little wider one.
I mowed the grass yesterday so I didn't get any other sewing done.
I finished the yellow dishcloth last night. This one has a YO that is passed over 2 purl stitches in a series of 4 rows for the pattern. I rarely knit more than 4 rows a day on it. The other pattern I use is so much easier.
Wow, still that seems like a lot of sewing along with mowing the lawn! I did a bit of gardening with my husband and as a result, I was up half the night using ice and getting Tylenol arthritis.
ReplyDeleteI love the quilt!
I need to go look for my finished blocks. I bet I have a quilt or two waiting to happen especially if you make blocks all the same size. Chris
ReplyDeleteI like it better all stitched together and I also like your border ideas!
ReplyDeleteWhat's not to like! I love the way these two blocks and your fabrics blend together. -Roxanne in Virginia
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is I LOVE it!!
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is lovely. What size are the blocks? The dishcloth is very nice, too. Such a pretty stich.
ReplyDeleteLove these blocks together! I think maybe a dark blue maybe, say navy-ish, for the narrow border? Can't wait for next picture of its progress.
ReplyDeleteLove your dishcloth
ReplyDeleteAren't they fun, quick projects
Great quick gifts

ReplyDeleteYou are right...the top does look better sewn together! I love the dishcloth too...great pattern!
ReplyDeleteit looks amazing. I like your 16 block quilts alone, but combined with the stars, it's interesting how the 16 patch blocks totally recede into the background.
ReplyDeletelove it! that quilt sure came together fast didn't it!
ReplyDeleteLove these blocks paired together!
ReplyDeleteThe quilt top is gorgeous! I love the raspberry color that you have going on there.
ReplyDeleteYou are an inspiration -- I am going to cut and sew today and try to complete a project or two this week. Cheers to you and blessings.
ReplyDeleteThe stars sparkle in this quilt! So great that the blocks are the same size and look so good together!
ReplyDeleteI still love it :-)

It is fabulous! Your border idea sounds like the perfect way to frame this beauty!
ReplyDeletelike a small border to 'stop' the movement of the center. It is lovely!
ReplyDeleteLooks great, and I like the sound of your border plans too.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the flimsy . . . just gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteHi Wanda, I enjoy your blog very much. This is a little off topic for today but how do you handle bringing your plants inside for the winter. I'm concerned about insects. Your plants look great. Have a nice day. Nancy
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt Wanda
ReplyDeleteThe quilt turned out great. How about that. A quilt out of all found blocks.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work! I love that the stars have various centers! It adds so much interest to the quilt!

ReplyDeleteLove the yellow dishcloth, too.
It's hard to believe such a beauty could come from two different projects.
