Actually I already went to the fair, yesterday. A friend was going out in the morning so I rode out with her, walked around for 2 1/2 hours and then walked home, about 13 blocks. That did me in for the day.
I will show some more photos tomorrow, including a few closer views on some of the quilts.
All photos can be clicked on to enlarge. I have "show images with light box" turned off so they should enlarge twice most of the time. If you have the light box feature turned on, they can't be enlarged.
I will be doing another post a little later today. On my right sidebar is a button for the Fractured Quilt Along. I will be participating in it and every Friday all participants will link to the main blog post at Field Trips in Fiber. You can check on everyone's progress by clicking on the button on the sidebar.

Third photo down, top left corner- the orange quilt- wow- just love the colors and the blends. It looks huge. The only thing I am not crazy about is the print of the border, but what a cool quilt! Thanks for sharing.
You have a very nice country FAIR!!! Looks like lots of participants too. Is there as much competition in the food/gardening categories as there seems to be in the sewing/quilting category? I went to the local fair here, what a disappointment that was!!!
lots of quilts! I rarely go to the fair - our county is fairly small and really not a lot there, I can normally do it in under 90 minutes if I want to.
What fun! You certainly got your exercise. I just visited Vicki's site. This project is perfect for you.
It sounds like a fun and tiring day. Did you have any quilts entered in the fair?
Thanks for the pictures !! I have the purple (red ribbon) quilt in the second picture! Thanks to your 3 1/2, 6 1/2 and 9 1/2 !!
I have seen several fair posts lately. I might have to go to our state fair to check out the quilts1
