Our local library called yesterday morning and said I was one of the grand prize winners in the summer reading program. This hard cover book was one prize. I also got a gift certificate to Aldi's and a family pass to a museum. I was surprised because I didn't hear about the program until it was half over and I only turned in 2 cards with my hours on them. I had forgotten they said they would be taking photos of the winners and I'm afraid I looked a little bedraggled.
Here are the 2 current dishcloths in progress. I didn't sew anything yesterday except tote bags at church sewing circle. We finished all 36 and started packing the coloring books, notebooks, crayons, and a few other things into them.

The dishcloth with the variegated yarn looks like it has a really interesting texture.
Congrats on winning.
Congrats on winning. What a nice surprise. What gift did you receive? What gift did you receive? I also like the pattern on the varigated cloth. I think I will make a stack of them to add to Christmas presents. Enjoy your day today.
Oops, repeated myself in previous comment. LOL Must be too early in the morning.
Congratulations on the win! I hope you enjoy your new book.
Knitting washcloths looks like it would be very relaxing.
Lucky you!! Enjoy your prizes... I'm guessing that they must be reading material?!
Congrats! I love how you say you only finished and packed the tote bags. That is a great achievement in itself!
Another Good Job!!! I see you have some awesome weather (66) compared to mine... (80)... sure hope it moves east with haste!!!
Wat to go, Wanda. You will enjoy that prize.
I love those dishcloths.
Hey it is always fun to win a prize so enjoy! I will be good to have all the children's bag done so you can move on to the project.
Yeah for You!!
I enjoy her books - hope you do, too.
Continued positive healing thoughts winging your way!
Congratulations! Winning is always fun. :)
Do you ever use two threads when doing the wash cloths? Saw some today that looked like they had two threads. Guess you could do what you want to. Double threads might help the cloths to last longer. Thanks for the information. I really enjoy your BlogSpot. I also attend your quilt display in Charlotte....very nice.
Congratulations on your win!
I'm tempted to try making a few dishcloths - will have to see if I have some cotton yarn still hanging around that would work. :-)
It is so fun to win when you are not expecting it!
