Yesterday I spent 4 hours outside cutting volunteer trees and pulling weeds and I'm feeling it. My little helper came at 3 and we have a huge pile of volunteer trees at the end of the driveway and the bark path through my back garden revived. While inside cooling off around lunch time I sewed 6 more blocks, these 3 and their duplicates.
I have enough blocks made now to make this 8 across by 9 down instead of the 7 across that I had planned. This is one half of the blocks and I need to still do a little rearranging.
Suppose to be really hot and humid today. Maybe would be a good day to stay in and sew. I cleaned yesterday. 4-H baking today with Taylor. Baking bread this year. Chris
ReplyDeleteIt is so nice that you have that "little helper" - have you developed a plan to keep her on after she pays off the doll house?
ReplyDeletesounds like you got a lot done. I have way too many volunteer trees to even remotely get them all taken care of so I usually go around with a spray bottle of a brush killer and very carefully give them all a squirt unless they are close to other things then I have to try other methods.
ReplyDeleteRest well today - you've earned it!! Fabric therapy is in order . . . .
ReplyDeleteHopefully you will have a rest day today with your feet up and a good book.
ReplyDeleteI'll bet you are "feeling it"!!! That's a lot of outdoor work.
ReplyDeleteLove those blocks!
Hard to keep up with our gardens come July, I agree. I have been using 16-16-16 on my flower beds and it has really given some of my old plants new life. I have been enjoying all my blossoms. I won't mention even mention the weeding. (*._,*)

I overdid the gardening yesterday with a school working bee in the morning an all afternoon in mine. Very stiff and sore today!
ReplyDeleteCareful how much you work outside Wanda, we have the same weather and I've been cutting and weeding at my brother's house and I am amazed how fast I seem to overheat. As always I enjoy seeing your batiks and blocks!
