Happy 4th of July, Independence Day to my US friends. Also it is my 6th anniversary of starting my blog. I wasn't sure I would have enough to say.....and I guess I do!
I have the border sewn on this quilt now.
I also finished the border on this one while my friends were at my house Tuesday. This one will have a wild large print on the back.
One of my friends brought this yummy pie to bake on Tues. It has several kinds of berries and rhubarb in it. I was going to take a photo before we cut into it.... but we couldn't wait to eat it.
I chose some more fabrics for the current 16 patch quilt.
Yesterday was a day of gentle summer rain and nice cool temperatures. It was a good day to sew and read and I finished the current book, the last of the V.I. Warshawski series.
Happy 6th Anniversary! I enjoy finding your blog every morning with your latest creativity. Thanks for the effort it takes to keep up a daily blog! And of course, Happy 4th of July!

Congratulations on an excellent blog that I love to read. Mega-inspiration plus a comfortable mix of process, garden, daily life. And I love your quilts.
ReplyDeleteWhen you say last of the V.I. Warshawski series, do you mean it's the end of the series? Or do you mean the most recently published? What is the title? I'm hoping it's a new one because we are both fans of hers.
ReplyDeleteHappy bloggiversary! Even when I don't have time to read my other "favorite" blogs, I always check yours because of the gorgeous quilts, your garden and wildlife pictures, and the beautiful way you photograph them. Thank you for blogging!
congrats
ReplyDeleteHappy blog anniversary. You started way before so many others, and probably helped establish the trend!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your blog! You have enriched my life. I try and post often, but by the time I download the photos, crop them, upload them to blogger, etc., I don't get to it often enough. Your quilts are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! You inspire and explain.

Hope you are having a nice 4th of July. I love both of the quilt tops you are working on. I even finally after a few months have work on some of my projects yesterday. Now that it is getting warm again I will have to sew some more.
ReplyDeleteMaybe blogger will let me comment today. That pie looks delicious! And I really like how you've bordered those two quilts. Just perfect.
ReplyDeleteI really like your pinwheel quilt. The zigzag is great, too. But then, all your quilts are wonderful. I enjoy watching your process and progress on your quilts.
ReplyDeleteI am running behind! Happy Independence day and anniversary. The pie looks yummy!
