I like this black/white fabric for my sashing. I haven't decided how wide to cut it yet. I think I'll use hand dyed fabric for the cornerstones. I made 4 more stars so I'll show them all tomorrow after I press them.
The art quilters are coming today. It sounds like the big storms are going to wait until late tonight into Tuesday morning. That is IF they have the forecast right.
We had wind and rain, but where my son lives they had a Tornado. He is the asst. FEMA Director of his County so I'm sure he is busy today. The black and white print is neat looking with the stars. Chris
ReplyDeleteI have really enjoyed watching these star blocks develop. I think the quilt will be stunning. Good luck with this storm.
ReplyDeleteI love the sashing you chose. From the photo, I am thinking go a little smaller. But it is always hard to get perspective from a photo. Love the Wigiela! Ours haven't yet bloomed!
ReplyDeletelove the sashing divides those blocks just right.
ReplyDeleteyour flowers are doing so well. I wish I could grow columbines - I have the shade - just have never been able to get them to grow, they do grow in Arkansas I have seen them in gardens but not a lot.
The umbrella fabric you showed in a previous post is such a fantastic choice between the pinwheel blocks- looks great!
ReplyDeleteLove the stars and especially love to see your blooms
ReplyDeleteThe sashing fabric is perfect!
ReplyDeleteI really like that smashing with the stars.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are gorgeous - especially the columbine.
Oh I like that sashing with your colorful stars!
ReplyDeleteSpring has definitely sprung where I live in AZ, but it's supposed to get HOT later this week (ugh).
My tomatoes, cucumber and chile pepper plants are all blooming.
Great sashing. Now I can't pass up looking at black and white fabrics when I walk into a fabric stores : )

The blocks are delightful. How fun to sash with black and white!
ReplyDeleteI like that black and white. It really lets the stars shine!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering what you'd use for sashing - that white on black is perfect!
ReplyDeleteI'm really liking what you're doing with the B/W prints and the sashing. More wonderment from your stash!
ReplyDeleteLove all your pretty pink flowers.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful columbines Wanda and I love the stars , the lime green really pops out, and the fabric you're using for the sashing is great.
ReplyDeleteThe pink colombine are really pretty. I have only purple tone ones in my garden. One is purple and almost white and the other is lavender. They are really pretty and it is too bad that they don't bloom all summer long. My purple and white Iris are going to be blooming soon as the buds are really getting big. Hope the storms go away. I love rain but hate storms.
ReplyDeleteI hope the big storms miss you! THis weather is crazy!
