I paired 10 more groups for the 16 patch quilt. I have added some that are more turquoise in tone with this batch.
I had a pair of ring neck doves under the feeder yesterday. I had seen some earlier this spring but they didn't pose for a photo like this pair did.
I have a cardinal pair that visit all the time now. The Mrs. was over under a different feeder when I got this shot. In the background is a mourning dove. It was in the 50s yesterday with light rain a couple times. I got another hosta dug up and pulled it apart into 3 separate plants. It was getting too big for its location. I lost a few hostas last year with the drought so I replaced one of those from this plant. I wanted to get this done before the rain tonight and tomorrow.

We got through our day with showers off and on. I need to get some more of the hostas divided also. Chris
ooh, I love your blues!
You have got to have the BEST stash ever!!!
Like the turquoise tones a lot-may I bid on that block? We have a pair of red finches who have given birth and are feeding their noisy youngsters in a nest they build every year over a light in front of our garage. Have a pic of the nest-haven't caught the birds on film yet.
Gorgeous blue batiks!
I enjoy your bird photos. In my yard I have an abundance of lovely house finches and goldfinches. I love the songs as much as I love the color.
I just absolutely love your batik blues 16 patch...I AM going to have to make one myself. Julierose
Nice Sunday post, lots of blue and birds too.

Your paired batiks are lovely, I really enjoyed looking at your 16patch batik quilt the other day lovely colours.
I have a few of those batiks. I love turquoise, so it is nice to see what you pair them up with. Yummy. Nice to see your birds in the yard.
Your blues are looking good.
We have a cardinal pair here, too and probably a blue jay pair but have only seen him. Of course we have doves and lots of mockingbirds!

Love your bird photos, I feed the birds and take photos also. Beautiful squares.
Yesterday my girlfriend brought me a bouquet of flowers that were blooming in her garden, Peony, Colombine, Lilac and Iris all in pinks and purples and the house smells wonderful. Also received a birthday gift of lettuce planted in an old spring form pan with a tag on it saying "Lettuce wish you a Happy Birthday". How clever she is. More rain expected today.
