I spent some time looking through a box of flannel scraps for more choices for the Rattlesnake blocks. I found 2 similar reds. I didn't have quite enough of one so used one piece of the other and even pieced 2 smaller pieces to make the last red piece at the top left. I don't want this quilt to look too planned or perfect. I would prefer it have a few blocks like this.

Rattlesnake is such a gorgeous pattern. Spectacular!
I don't mind the verification, it is necessary. No apology needed for me!
Looks great to me. The small gowns are cute too. Loks like a productive day. Chris
staying busy I see -
I've tried paper piecing once or twice, and just don't have the patience for it. Hats off to you!

I like the red!!
The little gowns looks so sweet.
The rattlesnake blocks are coming along! I like the mix of reds and that more unplanned look you spoke of.
I had to enlarge the photo to really see the two different fabrics.
What thread do you use on those little gowns ? The hospital staff is so very blessed to have you ladies making these layettes for their little preemies.

Nice red rattlesnake block :D
The little preemie gowns are so sweet. What a labor of love. You and your generous church sewing circle give so much of your time and talents.
You are a prolific sewer! The little gowns are sweet!
I like that the blocks are not all perfect too. That's how a quilt should be I think.
Hi Wanda,
I LOVE the rattlesnake blocks. If you ever want to sell the pattern once you are done...
Did you get any of that heavy snow that came thru last week? I made it into work, but there were many, many cancelations, so that meant "catch-up" time for me.
Keep warm!

The little gowns are so cute, how generous you and your group are with all your time and effort, amazing! As for your rattlesnakes, I am LOVING these blocks. Are you finding the flannel/homespun a bit challenging for the outsides of the block?
Sweet gowns. If you do not understand how small a preemie is, those look like what we called 'diaper shirts' in the 60's!
I like the mixed reds (but my philosophy is the more fabrics, the better). Going to be a lovely quilt, but those blocks look time intensive!
Your rattlesnakes are looking great!
I had to really look to see the difference in the two reds. They work together beautifully!
What a generous helping hand you are - those wee gowns are very cute!
The gowns are darling! Know they'll be dearly appreciated! Your points are so sharp and perfect...stunning!
