30 done, 6 to go..........

I made 4 blocks yesterday and added a strip to each of the other 2 crazy pieced blocks so they will be large enough to cut the melon shape out of. I may shuffle some blocks around when I get the last 6 done, but I'm pretty happy with the layout right now. I'm going to draw out a border strip to paper piece to put at the top and bottom to make this into a rectangular quilt.
My friend Rosemary is coming over today so we can baste her latest quilt, a paper pieced log cabin with 4.5" blocks.

  8. It took me a while to find the pieced melon block. And there it was right in front of me. I still have a time with the Rattle Snake name. It is too just too pretty.

  12. Loving your blocks and I think the pieced blocks are perfectly fun. Now you've got me wondering what the borders are going to look like. Guess I'll wait a couple days and find out, eh? I have a sudden overwhelming urge to work with red/brown. Wonder where THAT came from?? :)

  16. Beautiful! It is such a wonderfully warm-looking and cozy group of fabrics. Love that some of the rattlesnakes are curled up in a ball sleeping instead of all the same!
