I finished the binding and label on Bright Colorwash 2 yesterday morning. I ditch quilted this one in both directions. I had meandered the last one and wanted to see how it looked with ditch quilting. Both ways worked well.
I had 2 other labels to sew on and 1 hanging sleeve to sew down on the bottom edge. Then I worked on rolling the quilts and putting them in boxes to ship. When I got to the last box of the small stuff and hanging rods, I remembered I still had 3 mug rugs to quilt and bind. I needed to wait until today to mail the packages so they will arrive on the right day when someone is home to take them in.
This morning I am doing a private computer class and then I will go to the post office and run my errands. Then I can go down to the basement and cut the triangles from the Philip Jacobs fabrics that I pressed on Tuesday. I might even sit down and read for awhile.
I always love your colorwash quilts. I do hope you get that chance to relax some today.
ReplyDeleteyou are one busy lady :) love the color wash -
ReplyDeleteOh No! Not sit down! What will your chair think? You sure you can't read standing up or walking around?????????
ReplyDeletebtw.....I like that ditch stitching in both directions. I always think DS gets a bad name.
You have worked hard and deserve a wee break. Have a cup of tea and put your feet up with that book. How big are the finished squares in the colorwash? It is magnifico!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt, Wanda, I can see the sun shining from the center.
ReplyDeleteMore beautiful finishes! Gosh, you get a lot done!
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely work, Wanda. I love starting my day with your eye candy.
ReplyDeleteLove the color wash quilt. Beautiful as usual.
ReplyDeleteYou continually amaze me, Wanda! It seems to me that each colorwash you make is more beautiful than the last, but then when I go back and look - the last was more beautiful. I cannot decide! I'm cutting batiks for another one for myself this time. And while I'm at it, I'm cutting four sets - one each for two friends and a spare for me. That is a LOT of pressing and cutting!!! Like I said, you amaze me.
ReplyDeleteIt feels good to sit down and read every now and then!
ReplyDeleteI would say that you DESERVE some time to sit down and read!!!
ReplyDeleteI love this piece. Looks like the sun is shining through.
ReplyDeleteYep, busy every moment.
ReplyDeleteAnd accomplish much
Hugs
