Borders, Blogger problem...........

To solve the Blogger problem of not being able to add a photo, I followed Jeanie's advice to go to the HTML tab to do it.  I hope they fix the problem in the "compose" mode because this added steps to the process.  I'll just put one photo on this morning and see if they fixed it tonight.  I got 2 borders sewn on this quilt yesterday in addition to cutting a lot of fabric for QOV quilts.  I also chose backings for 2 quilts that I need to finish and ship to NC later this month.  Today I will meet a friend for lunch and some quilty talk.

  1. I have read this on another blog too. Hope they get it fixed quickly.

Did you get a Season 2 yet? I see Season 3 starts on Sunday night.

  2. have you ever tried writing and posting your photos for your blog in Windows Live Writer? I use this for my blog and for the blog I contribute to on Hand Quilting. It works fairly easy and you can use it for both wordpress blogs and blogger.

  4. I am wondering if your photos are too big. When I looked at the photo info for this post it was 987px × 1,000px (scaled to 802px × 813px) and 412.56 KB. You may be nearing the limit of your photo storage on your Picasa Web Album which is 5GB for free storage. This 5GB is shared with your Google Docs account. You have both of these if your are using Blogger. I have been going into my Picase Web Albums (PWA) and changing all my blogger photos to a size no larger than 800x600px using the Actions tab in PWA, clicking on Edit in Creative Kit, and then clicking on Resize. At this point I change the dimentions to something that is less than 800x600 clicking Apply and then Save to my album and Confirming the photo replace by clicking Replace. This is greatly reducing my photo storage.

I also have a flickr account (that I've purchased) and when I use a photo from that account I go into the HTML and add it that way.

    Good luck.

  5. Love the zigzag. I shared your blog with a couple other quilters last night at our sew-in. One is a Kaffe fanatic. She loved your quilts. The Modern Quilt Guild is having an essay contest about how Kaffe changed your life in 500 words or less. The prize is his new book and 30 fat quarters. An opportunity.

  6. I use Windows Live Writer, it is so easy, you can insert photos, border, crop ,tilt, reduce. and a lot easier to select a font, rather than the few blogger have. Then after I have finished, checked, just click "publish", enter your password, and it is there. So easy to set up, and you can publish to more than one blog if you have them. Hope this might help. Cheers from Jean.
