Here are all 15 blocks but I can see that I need to rearrange them. I was too tired to go back down and do it last night after I got the photo loaded into the computer. I have been searching my quilt block books and haven't found this block yet so I still don't know the name of it.
My childhood friend and her husband came to see me yesterday and we had such a good time. She is a history buff so we ate at the Bull Moose Bar and Grille which is a Pullman dining car used by Teddy Roosevelt. Then we played in my basement for awhile.
Today I am going for my post op check up for my eye. I hope it is the last dr. visit for awhile.
I don't know the name of the quilt block either but it is nice, I like the arrangement. It kind of looks like a "windmill" type of block.
ReplyDeleteThat quilt is going to be so nice! I am dubbing the block "Seeing Stars at the Windmill" I thought windmill the first time I saw it too.
ReplyDeleteI think it looks a little starry too, very pretty! Good luck with your appointment!
ReplyDeleteThe blocks look great! I am in agreement, it is definitely some type of windmill/pinwheel block. Hope all goes well at the doctor's visit today!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the checkup. I'll be thinking about you. The quilt top is looking good.
ReplyDeleteI don't know the name of this pretty block either. Has a lot of movement.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your eye appointment.
Hope that everything goes well with the post-op..
ReplyDeleteand it is your last visit. Wish I had your energy ,
another creation with the Christmas fabrics.
Hope you receive good news today.
ReplyDeleteTake a look here:

It seems to be set in a combo with another block.
I always look first at Quilter's Cache.
I hope your dr. visit goes well and you get good news! I'm not sure if I have seen this block before or not. I think it is a combination of two blocks.
ReplyDeleteHoping for a good report from the eye doctor. I know you are beyond ready for things to be ok. I would be.
ReplyDeleteThey look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI hope this is the end of doctor visits for a long time for you. You've had enough this year!!
Lovely Christmas quilt. I went onto the website mentioned above: http://www.quilterscache.com/F/FriendsStarBlock_Page3.html and it does look like that's the block. Love it!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with this doctor appt and hopefully it's the last one:)

Whatever the name of the block may be, it's a beautiful Christmas quilt!
ReplyDeleteI hope your appointment goes well and that you're done with doctors for quite a while.
Your quilt gets me in the Christmas spirit.
ReplyDeleteI too, am hoping you get a good report from your eye Dr. today.
ReplyDeleteI love that pattern for your Christmas Quilt. Still am in awe of those small triangles, working into that grand design.

Those blocks are so pretty! I love that they look difficult, but are just half square triangles. Believing with you for a good report!
ReplyDeleteHope your appt went well! Can you tell me what the size of your HST's were and the unfinished size of the block?
ReplyDeleteLove this block--it has so much movement--very pretty...good luck on your (hopefully) last Dr. visit...Julierose
ReplyDeleteHope the Dr visit went well. Have fun rearranging the blocks!
ReplyDeleteI hope the post op check went well. I'm sitting typing this on my iPad in an overly chilled motel room -- mum has her second cataract operation tomorrow. Time to adjust the temperature on the air-con! Take care.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your follow up. Hopefully you wont' have to go back for a while. Love this setting and the prints look so great together.
ReplyDeleteI like your Christmas quilt. I also hope your eye follow-up went well. I am sick of doctors also and luckily do not have to go back until January. The book you talked about yesterday looks interesting especialy if he was a needlepointer. It is interesting that very few people now do needlepoint. When I was younger I taught many needlepoint classes and haven't picked it up in years. Maybe that should be my new project for next year.
