They're here!........

My brother and his wife are here from TX.  This is their fancy vehicle!  Baby brother turns 70 today.  I told my dad that all of his kids are in their 70s now and he just looked at me and then smiled.  I'm going to finish my painting today with a little help.
I wore out my first tray for my Accuquilt studio cutter.  They said if you aren't getting good cuts check the tray for flatness.  When I lay it on a flat surface and push down on one edge, the other side raises high enough for me to slip my fingers under.  I guess I can say it is warped!  I had purchased a new tray a couple months back to make my order over $100 so I would get free shipping.  I was glad I had it on hand.  I have done a lot of cutting in the past 15 months.

  1. I can't imagine what that would feel like, to have all your kids in their 70's! Wow!!
I hope you'll have a nice visit. They'll likely be amazed at your painting! Good for them to come on a bike. My best friend and her husband, in their 60's travel on one too.

  4. What fun to have family visiting and, presumably, to help you with the painting!

Sounds like you definitely needed the new tray. I've barely used my Go Baby since I won it in the middle of last year! But I have plans ...

  6. His "kids" may all be over 70...but apparently none of them act it! And that is a good thing.

  8. you have been doing a lot of cutting.
Have a good visit with your brother - it must be fun to be able to ride a motorcycle all the way from Texas - I'm afraid I would be very sore!

  9. Nice for you to have a visit from your brother and sister in law.

I have (rather easily, at that) worn out the mats you put over the fabric for my Go Cutter but didn't know it is possible to wear out the actual cutting mat. Wowzer...you *have* been doing a lot of cutting!

  10. NICE GoldWing-love the color. We had a purple one a few years back-I felt like I was sitting on a recliner-so comfy
    Enjoy your visit.

  11. I agree with Gene. You and your brother do not act like kids over 70! Love the "ride" : )

  14. What a fun photo to post today.... I can't believe they dress like that for the whole trip. I would be wrapped in Leather like the 'Michelin Tire Man' traveling on a bike. They look great and I can't even see any bugs on their outfits. (*._,*) Their bike is really a show piece for sure. And it matches your car too.

  15. Happy birthday, little brother !

That just floored me when you said, "I told my FATHER......."

I feel like I'll NEVER make it to 70,....I can't imagine my father being around when I did ! (He and mama passed away in their 60's.)

Praise God for good genes !

  17. Apparently there are some pretty adventurous genes in your family. None of you are really afraid to try something new, are you? I think that is wonderful! Have a good visit.

  18. With all the cutting you have done on that cutter it is no wonder that it is warped. Yes, it is a good thing that you bought another one. Happy Birthday to you brother. My brothers are both gone now and I miss them both along with my parents.
