3 more rounds.....

I added 3+ full rounds to each of the quilt tops.  As the strips get longer it takes a lot of time and bobbins.
They are each about 30" x 39" now so they were too big to lay side by side like I did in yesterday's photo.  I have a long way to go to make them lap size.  I like the one in the top photo well enough to hang it on a wall so maybe I'll start another one to sew with the second one and stop that one right now.
I went out and cut down about 30 volunteer trees yesterday.  It was nice and cool.  We are in for a string of 90 degree days starting Friday.  Because the air and ground are so dry here, the storms split and miss us.  We really need rain and none is predicted for awhile.

It is amazing what you can make from your cutaway scraps.

They're looking great! You didn't call your blog "Exuberant Color" for nothing!

Want to send some of the warm weather this way? I'm sick of winter already and it;'s only been 14 days!

Love the process you're using. I agree - stop with the top one and begin another. What a great project! (when you do your clean cuts - do you trim the ragged edge and toss it before you cut the clean cut strip?)

What a great idea!! Love how colorful they are!

Love them! What will you call a lap top size? I would imagine that anyone would be happy with one of these for a lap quilt, especially a teen.

I would think that they both could be hung at any time. Beautiful.

Simple design's but with so much charisma. If I had to be REAL PICKY I would say I like the top one also.

I know you know me... so I will not take your advise to Anonymous personally. (*._,*)

I like the top one with stronger colours, do you trim each strip to make it squared up? Lovely way to use the strip ends. The batik have such good combinations that make a quilt " ZING".But your choices make the quilts what they are, stunning. Cheers from Jean.

I love both quilts! Maybe you answered this earlier, but do you have to square up as you go so it won't get ripple?
Were your trees small, requiring pruners. I was picturing you with a chain saw!
