This quilt was next in line to be quilted. I basted it in May last year. I pieced it in Feb, 2010. In case you missed all the layouts I tried, you can check them out here, here, and the final layout here. The main thing that keeps me from finishing them when I make them is that I can't decide how I'm going to quilt them. I finally decided that I will ditch quilt this on every seam. First I ditch quilted between the blocks and then I quilted 6 blocks of the 16 last night.
I am using Superior brand Rainbows thread. You won't see the quilting from a distance but when you get close you will see the pretty multicolor thread. I see a bit of lint from the batting on the black fabric too. I'll have to take a lint roller to this one when I'm done quilting.

You have some serious piecing going on here! Love it!
So glad that you are finishing up this quilt, it is a beauty! And Rainbows is one of my favorite thread to use. Fabulous choice!
pretty quilt! I hate having to use a lint roller - I have two quilts like that.

This was definitely one of my favorites! Boy, you are making headway...must be so satisfying!
I really like this piece. It is just a riot of color! I hope you will put any pieces that you don't sell at the show for sale on your blog.
This quilt is just so much fun! Must try Rainbows thread...
All your finishes are looking wonderful. So exciting to see what you do with them.
I understand the "quilter's block" - not knowing how you want to quilt it. So glad you are getting past it....the deadline seems to have helped you.
They are all turning out lovely.

Great quilt! And a dedicated job to finish it. It will make it all that much more beautiful.
Another bold, bright, beautiful, colorful, Wanderful quilt! I love it!
That is hours of straight stitching. BUT it will be another one that will take my breath away, I know.
It is a gorgeous creation.

Another great quilt. Love the Zig Zag layout. Did you pick a binding? Black with the red dots might be nice.
Love this one...it just makes you happy! I think it is the polka dots popping up here and there,
Another wonderful quilt!!!!! Looks as if we are in for a little bit of snow. It will be good sewing weather.
You are a better man than me. I don't think I would do that much ditch quilting. But of course it will make this beautiful quilt even more beautiful. That's why I always enjoy seeing what you are doing - you do it to perfection!
You are in a quilting mood now! Love when it bites. The quilting I did yesterday was the first in a long time, and I still have the itch. I have many to quilt...unfortunately!
