When I got home from the QOV sew-in and the errands on the way home, I spray basted the 3 small crooked cobblestone pieces and got 1 and 1/2 quilted while I watched TV last night. I also chose a backing for another quilt and got it pressed so it is ready. I have many errands I need to run this morning so I hope it will be quilting time in the afternoon.
If there is anyone in my area (Sandwich IL) that is interested in my color class on a Saturday in March, email me with the link on my right sidebar. I have 2 more kits left so I can take 2 more students.
Great thing to do while watching TV.
ReplyDeleteHow far exactly is Ill. from Md.?
ReplyDeletewhen you ditch-stitch your quilts, do you use that clear plastic monofiliment thread? I tried it once, but it seemed to stretch a bit as I sewed and made the back look less flat and a little more pucker-y than with cotton thread. but maybe that slight pucker isn't a bad thing, considering that it'll pucker up even more when you wash it?
ReplyDeleteand I love the little crooked cobblestone quilt too, it knocked my socks off. alas, I'm running out of socks.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Wish I lived closer!!!
ReplyDeleteWishing that I lived closer too...I would love to take your class!
ReplyDeleteI am assuming that spray basting is for small quilt projects ? Is it like the spray adhesive for paper art projects, when you need to bond a painting to mat board ?
