I spent the day yesterday finishing the clean up of the basement, shoveling the last snow/ice residue off the driveway and sewing the squares for the last 4 rows of the new zig zag quilt. I stacked and numbered the rows and put them aside until after my art quilters leave today. Oh, yes, and I baked 2 batches of cookies too.
I am always amazed at all that you accommplish in a day. I must say that when you posted a picture of yourself I was surprized that there were no flames surrounding you because I think of you as a "ball of fire". You are also an inspiration.
Your zig zag is looking great! I'd never thought of placing my to-be-sewn stack on the design wall. I usually put them right at the sewing machine and sure enough they get scrambled, no matter what I do. Save me some cookies!
I so enjoy looking at all of your quilts. Since I have an extensive stash of Kaffe Fasset and other fabrics like his, it provides me with a lot of eye candy that I so enjoy.
I really love the colors in the quilt, I am just drawn to pink and green lately... beautiful..... I guess I see a bit of fabric shopping in my future! Kathie
Looks like and sounds like you were busy. They are talking about rain here today. Have fun. Chris
ReplyDeleteAfter all that work, I hope you "quality tested" some of the cookies!
