Photo browse fixed

The browse button was back when I went to load photos this time.  I wonder where it was the night before?   This is the quilt that I need to have off the wall by next Monday.  I got a few more triangles sewn into squares since I took the photo.  Even if I don't get the rows sewn, I can have stacks of rows ready to sew later.         Well we just had 2 days over 50 degrees and snow predicted for today.  They are saying less snow now than they did in the beginning but it sounds like it will be in excess of 3" anyway.  I have enough supplies to stay home so I hope to watch it from inside.

Friday and Saturday this week the Quilter's Heart quilt shop will be open for one final sale, $3 a yard for fabric and 70% off most other things (no batting) so I will be working both days.

My quilt show in NC in June will be at my daughter's mosaic gallery.  She is one of 5 owners of the gallery and the only one that has a working studio at the gallery.  There is a first Friday crawl every month and that is always the opening of the new show of the month.  She and I chose 38 of my quilts as possibilities to hang.  The show may hang for most of the month but I will only be there the first week.

  4. I am so glad your work is going to get this recognition. I sure wish North Carolina was a direction we were likely to travel in June, but not very likely.

  6. Another wonderful quilt by Wanda!!! I hope that you take some pictures and post them of your quilts hanging at the gallery. Sounds like you will have great time to spend with your daughter and be able to have your beautiful quilts around you. I wished I lived in that area as the shops sounds wonderful also. Right now we are having the calm before the storm. I too have plenty of things to keep me busy for today. Tomorrow it will be over, at least we hope so.

  7. Loving the zig zag Wanda! Of course the yummy fabrics make it even better, but the design is just great - sometimes simpler is better. Now I must make one!

Your zig zag quilt glows! And I mean that in a good way. Not in a nuclear way.

I echo everyone else's desire that you post pictures of your show on your blog. Those of us who can't be there in person, will be there in spirit.

Hope you don't get the kind of snow storm we did in St. Louis. It didn't snow much, but what came down at first melted, and then the temperatures plummeted and the melted snow refroze, so that we have a light dusting of snow over a treacherous layer of ice.

  15. It's been snowing here in NW Wisconsin for the last 23 hrs and doesn't look to be letting up anytime soon. Color me happily snowed into my sewing room!
What a treat anyone in North Carolina are in for, seeing so many of your quilts live! Wish I could be there but I will be happy with your photos from the gallery. It's going to be a fabuous colorful display!

  19. Zig-Zag looks awesome ! Photo looks like it is hanging in a gallery already... I know this is not one of the ones you will be presenting in June, but it is going to be a beauty.

We have "Friday night crawls" out here also. They are a social art event, that draws many into the studio's and galleries, they have been going on for about 5-6 years now. I am excited for you to be involved in your daughters gallery.
