Too tired........

I worked 2 hours at the quilt shop yesterday morning and then went to embroidery club.  She had a lot of neat ideas for gifts to make.  I was too tired to sew when I got home so I just went down to the basement pulled the fabric for my next quilt.  These are all flannel fabrics.  I have made 2 black and white flannel quilts in previous years so all of the pieces in the bottom of the photo are leftovers.  The pieces at the top are big enough for backing and borders.  I just got the orange flannel on equilter's Thanksgiving week sale.  I think the orange print looks great with the black and whites.  This will be a really simple pieced quilt, either rail fence or bordered squares most likely.

I baked peanut butter cookies last night in preparation for my art quilters on Monday.  The peanut butter cookies stay fresh for up to a week but I only like chocolate chip cookies the day they are baked and the following day.  After that they taste stale to me so I'll wait and bake that batch Sunday evening.

Today is the big day that I will be invaded by plumbing and heating guys.  I hope it goes well.

Give those guys some of your cookies. I'm sure it will all go well then. They might even give you a discount!

Oh yes, orange with the black and white will be perfect!! And not to mention snuggly too! Hmmm... chocolate chip cookies stale? I don't think I have ever met one that is stale, but that could be because they don't last much longer than 2 days in this house... LOL! Best of luck today!

I hope your visit from the plumbers is not too long, and that you get your energy back quickly. I really like the fabrics you selected.

I love the color combination for the flannel quilts. I'd be tired too after all that!
Those are my 2 favorite cookies. I sure wish I lived closer. I'd love to join an art quilting group.

The orange flannel really makes a zing with the black and white flannels. Love it! I know you are anxious to get started on a new project...

You were busy yesterday! No wonder you are tired.
Nice black and white flannel collection. I have limited experience with flannel quilts. Many years ago, I used a trip around the world quilt pattern and made two quilts with plaid flannels. I thought the flannels were difficult to work with, wanted to stretch and pucker. I pre-washed the fabrics. I ended up tying the two quilts instead of attempting the 'stitch in the ditch' I had planned. Do you have problems like that? Or was it the type of flannel I was using?
I now make receiving blankets or very large strip child blankets with flannels.

I like your fabrics, I've never used flannel except for the backs of baby/kiddie quilts - it keeps them from sliding so much. Save me some choco-chip cookies! I hope your guys get everything done before it gets too cold.

My secret word is "trisi"... as in "Let's trisi what we can do today!"

I love your black and whites. I never thought about black flannel...not sure I've seen it before. The orange looks great with it. Good luck with the 'boiler bunch'.

Those flannel prints all look great. That will be a striking (Wanda-type) quilt! Hope all goes well with your heat guys.

I love this orange print you have. It will make this quilt pop. You have so many nice things on your blog lately, I'm behind but scanning your pics brightens my day.

Such nice flannel prints.

Hope the repair on your heating pump goes well and you are not out of heat for long. I see it is 39 degrees right now. And you will need some heat before the day is over.
