Finished.....

I put the binding on this quilt Friday night but saved the photo for today since I knew I wouldn't be doing any sewing yesterday.  I'll show a full view in the next couple days.  I need to clear one of my double walls so I can hang it for the photo.

Dad really enjoyed the family reunion.  Usually he's ready to go home in a couple hours but we ended up being there 4 hours.  There were 19 family members there from 8 states.  The majority were from Dad's cousins' families and one had never been to the reunion before.

Love your quilt... esp the quilting... I'm going to try that on a "jelly roll race" quilt I made!

  9. that's nice to get together. We all get together a couple times a year but that is my siblings and their children/g.children -- we have no cousins from my generation that live in Arkansas. Actually I have very few cousins and I have actually not even met about half of them.

  12. A treat for you that your Dad enjoyed your reunion. I know a parents' response affects us too. I am assuming your Dad is the oldest member ? So nice that so many came to see him.

I too will look forward to seeing the quilt in full. So far the zebra binding sure catches my eye.

  14. Great binding!

We're having a reunion in December and will celebrate Mom's 80th birthday. We don't have a lot of extended family but with 6 of us kids and our families, a few aunts, uncles, and cousins we get a nice size crowd.
